What We Treat

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an FDA approved treatment for individuals with depression or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). TMS has also been proven to provide relief for a variety of off-label conditions. Contact us to see how we can improve your quality of life.

Depression

Relief TMS provides a safe, medication-free option for individuals diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Patients that are not able to reach their full potential with medication or other forms of treatment may experience life-changing recovery through TMS therapy. We provide a care continuum to support you before, during, and after your treatment.

Take the depression self-assessment to see if TMS could be right for you.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Relief TMS is the leading TMS provider for the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Our Brainsway technology is the first and only device that has been tested and achieved FDA approval. Our patient advocates undergo extensive training with experts in the treatment of OCD. Each patient advocate is certified in the administration of the Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) and works closely with our clinical director to develop provocations that are designed to increase the efficacy of treatment.

Patients in our OCD program are provided a treatment team consisting of a psychiatrist, a Y-BOCS rater certified patient advocate, and an OCD clinical specialist. Our in-house treatment teams will collaborate with your outside providers to deliver the most comprehensive plan and best outcomes.

We have a deep understanding of the complexities of OCD and the challenges there are in providing options for patients.

Smoking Addiction

Relief TMS proudly offers BrainsWay Deep TMS for smoking addiction. This is the first FDA clearance in the addiction space and we are one of the first to offer it.

Using BrainsWay’s patented H4-coil, the treatment generates electromagnetic pulses that stimulate neurons in brain structures associated with addiction – specifically the bilateral insula and prefrontal cortex.

Anxious Depression

Between 60-90% of patients with depression have moderate anxiety, and 20-25% have more severe anxiety.

Anxious depression is linked to greater severity of depression symptoms, higher risk of suicide, reduced response rates to treatment, and higher risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

We offer a treatment plan that can treat anxiety in tandem with your depression and on its own.

Other Indications

Studies show TMS can be an effective treatment for other diagnoses such as addictions, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, post-stroke rehabilitation, bipolar, autism, alzheimer’s/dementia, eating disorders, postpartum depression, and tinnitus.
